Verma Building Material

We set up Verma Building Material right near the Post Office in Amarauli Shumali. Being in the Tehsil Bhanpur industrial area means there is always something being built or fixed nearby. It’s a dusty place to work. Between the trucks moving and the wind blowing across the industrial plots, we spend half our time cleaning the office desk. We keep a lot of sand, bricks, and other materials out in the yard. It’s hard work, especially in the summer when the sun is beating down on the gravel. We don’t have any fancy sales people in suits. Most of us are just in work clothes, probably with some mud on our boots. We deal with contractors and also just regular folks who need a few bags of something for their own homes. The phone rings a lot, usually someone asking if the truck has left yet. Sometimes the truck breaks down or the driver gets delayed, and we have to explain that to a grumpy customer. It’s not always easy, but we do what we can. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. The industrial area is a bit rough around the edges, but it’s where the real work happens. We don’t have a garden or a nice lobby for people to wait in. You usually just stand in the yard while we get your order ready. We have a small dog that hangs around the gate; he’s friendly enough but mostly just sleeps in the shade. It's a basic business for basic needs.
