Jit Consultancy

You can find us over at 8 2 Panchanantala By Lane in Belgharia. It is one of those narrow Kolkata lanes where you have to pull over to let a bicycle pass. Jit Consultancy is a small operation. We don't have a big sign or a fancy entrance. It is just a room with a few chairs and a computer that has been with us for years. We help out with different kinds of consulting work, mostly helping people navigate paperwork and local rules. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan is always on high speed. We know most of the people on this lane by name. It is a very local way of working. We don't spend money on marketing or anything like that. People just find their way to us when they need a bit of advice. Sometimes we sit outside on the step for a break and watch the world go by. It is a humble place, but we get the job done without making a big deal out of it. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the window, so we have to move the papers to keep them dry. It is just how things are here. We have a small calendar on the wall that is two months behind.
