Gigabyte Information Technology

Our place is located in Sri Brindaban Paul’s building, specifically at 12, K.N.I. Sarani in the Sukanta Pally area. It is right in Nimta, Kolkata, which is a bit of a trek for some people, but it is home for us. We deal with computers and all kinds of information technology stuff. If a machine breaks or someone needs a bit of tech help, they usually just bring it over to our desk. It is a small shop, really. We are definitely not one of those big IT firms you find over in Salt Lake or the tech parks. We have parts lying around and tools all over the benches most days. It might look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know exactly where every screw and cable is kept. The neighbors in Sukanta Pally know us pretty well by now. We have been in this spot in Nimta for a good while. Sometimes it is just one person working here, and other times a couple of us are around to help out. We do not have a big storefront with lights, it is more of a quiet local office. If you are coming from the Nimta post office, it is not far at all. We spend most of our time looking at screens or opening up hardware to see what is wrong inside. It is quiet work for the most part. We do not do much talking, we just fix what is in front of us.
