Aryabhatta International School

Out on the Nh-71 Bazakhana Road, right near Vill Cheema Jodhpur, is where Aryabhatta International School is located. Being in the Barnala district, it’s a bit of a drive for some, but the school stands out among the fields. The wind blows across the open space around here, which is nice when it’s hot, though the winters get quite chilly in the classrooms. We have a lot of space for the kids to run around, which is one benefit of being out in Cheema. The daily routine is pretty standard, starting early so the students can get home before it gets too dark. You’ll see the buses lining up along the main road every morning and afternoon. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of chalk on boards and the occasional shout from the sports field. We have a mix of staff, some local and some who travel in from Barnala town. The office is usually busy with people coming in to talk about the bus routes or the latest school events. It’s a practical setup, focused on getting the syllabus finished and making sure the children are actually learning something useful. We don't go in for anything too loud or over the top. It’s just a solid place for education in a rural part of Punjab where things move a little slower. Everyone here knows each other and we just get on with the day’s work.
