St. Joseph'S School

Our school, St. Joseph'S School, is situated on Raikot Road in Barnala. It’s a place that most locals are familiar with. The building itself is straightforward, nothing too flashy. We have been part of this community for a long time. Every day follows a pretty set pattern. The gate opens early, and you start seeing the bicycles and the scooters arriving. It’s a bit of a rush at the start, then it quietens down for the morning assembly. We have students from various backgrounds coming here. The classrooms are filled with wooden desks and benches that have seen a lot of use over the years. We keep the walls decorated with charts and drawings made by the students. It’s a practical environment for learning. Teachers here focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids are prepared for their exams. There isn't much fuss about extra things. We have a small yard where the students spend their breaks. Sometimes the dust from Raikot Road blows in, but we just sweep it out and keep going. Parents often stop by the small office window to check on things or pay the monthly bills. It’s a very grounded kind of atmosphere. We don't try to be something we aren't. It’s just a school in Barnala where children come to study and grow up. By late afternoon, the place is quiet again, waiting for the next morning to start over.
