Al-Ahmed Stones Private Limited

You can find us over at D-49, right near the Fateh Singh Dharam Shala. Being so close to the station makes it easy for folks to drop by, though the traffic can get a bit much during the day. We deal in stones, mostly for building and flooring work. It is a dusty job and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We are not a big corporation with suits and ties. Most of us have been working with stone for years and know how to pick through a pile to find what is usable. The yard is not huge, but we pack a lot of inventory in there. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time turning around in the street, so we have to help guide them in. We do not have a flashy showroom, just the yard and a small desk where we handle the orders. We write everything down in ledgers and try to keep things straight. If you are looking for something specific, it is usually better to just come and see it in person because photos do not always show the real color of the rock. We are just a small crew trying to make a living. We have seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years, but we are still here at the same spot. It is noisy and busy, but that is the way we like it.
