Modern Tile Industry

Modern Tile Industry is our place on Khandaya Road. We are very close to the Simmi Marriage Palace, which most people use as a guide to find us. We’ve been making tiles here for a long time. It’s a proper factory setting, so it’s loud and there’s usually a bit of a mess from the materials we use. We don't have a polished front office. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in the back near the machines. It’s hard work and it gets quite hot near the kilns, but it’s what we know how to do. Khandaya Road is a busy enough place, and we see a lot of trucks coming and going. We aren't interested in any fancy business talk or acting like we’re a big corporate entity. We’re just a local industry making tiles for the community. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend the whole day fixing them, which is frustrating but part of the job. We don't spend money on ads. We just hope that the tiles we make are good enough that people talk about them. Most of our workers live nearby, so it feels like a neighborhood effort. We’ve been at this location for years and have seen the area around the marriage palace change quite a bit. But we’re still here, making tiles every day.
