Vinod Iron Store

Vinod Iron Store is located on Bahjoi Road, right in the Bareilly Sarai area. We are very close to the Janta Petrol Pump, which is where most people stop when they are coming into town. Our store is mostly full of iron rods, sheets, and various hardware bits that people in the neighborhood might need. It’s a dusty place because of the road and the nature of the iron we keep. We have a small counter where we sit and wait for customers to drop by. Sometimes it’s quiet and we just sit there listening to the traffic go by on Bahjoi Road. Other times, it gets really busy and we are scrambling to find the right size of iron for someone. The roof is made of tin, so when it rains, it gets incredibly loud inside and you can hardly hear yourself think. We’ve been here for years, and most of the locals know where to find us. We don't do any big advertising or have a website. People just know we are here near the petrol pump. It’s just a regular family-run kind of store. We keep the books by hand mostly, and the shelves are a bit disorganized, but we know where everything is. It’s just an honest way to make a living and we stay open until late most days of the week. There is always a stray dog or two hanging around the entrance waiting for a scrap of food.
