About Rajan Musical Museum – Event & Planning in Bareilly
Rajan Musical Museum is located on Station Road in Bareilly. We are right in Civil Lines, which is a pretty well-known part of town. If you’re looking for us, we are right opposite the Sharab Godaam. It’s a funny landmark to give people, but everyone knows where it is, so it makes finding us easier. We have a lot of stuff packed into our space at 181 Station Road. It’s not really a museum in the way you’d think of a big government building, but we have enough musical items here that it feels like one sometimes. The dust gets in from the road because it's always busy with rickshaws and cars going to the station. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass cases. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned place. We don’t have those bright LED lights or a modern look. It’s just wood and instruments and a lot of history. People come in to look around or ask questions about things they’ve found in their attic. Sometimes the noise from the station road is a bit much, but you get used to it after a few years. We’ve seen a lot of people come and go through Bareilly. Being near the station means we see all sorts. It’s a decent spot for a music place. We just try to keep things organized as best we can and wait for the next person to walk in.
