About Gulab Rai Inter College – Education in Bareilly
Bareilly has a way of staying busy, and Shrinathpuram is no different. Our college sits right in the middle of it. The building is a solid structure that has been through many rainy seasons. You can see the water marks on some of the exterior bricks if you look closely. Inside, the corridors are long and a bit dark, which actually helps keep things cool when the sun is beating down outside. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights. Just the name on the wall and the address in Shrinathpuram. The staff room has a big table where we sit and drink tea while grading tests. It’s a very normal place. The students come in through the side gate mostly. On Mondays, the energy is a bit slow, but by mid-week, the place is buzzing. We have a lot of cupboards filled with old files that nobody wants to throw away. The windows in the back classrooms look out over some trees and a nearby wall. It’s just a regular inter college where the daily grind involves fixing the water cooler or finding more ink for the office printer. People around here know the building well. It’s part of the landscape now. We keep the gate open during the day and close it tight at night. That’s just how it goes here. There is always someone sweeping the front steps in the morning.
