Anand Computer

Our shop, Anand Computer, is right at Kamrej Char Rasta 2. If you know the intersection, you know it is one of the busiest places around here. There is always the sound of horns and people shouting, which you just get used to after working here for a while. We spend our days surrounded by old monitors, tangled power cables, and half-open computer cases. It’s a bit of a mess most of the time, but we know exactly where each screwdriver and spare screw is located. People walk in with laptops that won't turn on or printers that are making strange noises. We don't have a fancy waiting room with coffee, just a couple of plastic chairs near the door. The heat can get a bit much in the afternoons, so we keep the ceiling fan running at full speed. Sometimes a customer comes in and we end up talking about the traffic outside more than their computer issues. We've been at Kamrej Char Rasta 2 for a good bit now and the locals know to look for our small sign among all the other shops. It’s mostly just fixing things and trying to figure out why a motherboard died. It keeps us busy and we like the challenge of a difficult repair. We don't use big words to explain what's wrong, we just show people the parts and tell them what needs doing. It is just us here, working through the daily pile of electronics.
