Acne Saloon

This little shop is inside Laketure Apartment in Surali. We are close to Kargil Chowk, which is a big landmark for everyone around here. It’s not a huge saloon, just a cozy space we set up. We handle mostly hair cutting and some skin things, which is why we picked the name. The apartment building is fairly quiet during the day while everyone is at work. We get most of our visitors in the evening when people come home. I remember when we first moved in, the room was completely empty and smelled like fresh cement. Now it smells like shampoo and hair spray. We have a couple of posters on the walls showing different styles, though most people just ask for the same thing every time. The sink in the back leaks a tiny bit if you don't turn the handle all the way. It’s just one of those things you get used to. We have a small bench for people to sit on while they wait. Surali is a nice area, a bit out of the main city rush but still close enough. I like being near the chowk because it makes the shop easy to find. It’s just me and one other guy working here. We keep it simple. No fancy lights or music, just a place to get cleaned up. We’ve been here for two years now and the landlord is a decent man.
