Meeli Beauty Parlour

We have been here at Navkar Shopping Centre on Bank Road for a while now. Vyara is a busy place, especially right opposite Apna Bazar where there is always something going on. My name is Meeli and I started this parlour because I just liked doing hair and skin stuff for my neighbors. It isn't a huge place, but we keep it clean and the fans are always running to keep the heat away. People come in after their grocery shopping at the bazar. Sometimes they just want a quick thread or maybe a haircut before a wedding in the family. We see the same faces every month. The traffic on Bank Road can be a bit much during the day, but once you step inside, it is quieter. I usually handle most of the work myself or with one helper. It is hard work standing all day but I do not mind it. We do not have fancy leather chairs or expensive coffee machines, just regular plastic ones and some water if you are thirsty. Living in Surat means we deal with a lot of dust, so I am always wiping down the counters. It is just a local shop for local people. Most of our customers live nearby in Vyara and they know they can just walk in without much fuss. We try to be quick so nobody is waiting too long on their lunch break. That is pretty much how we run things here every day.
