Moitree Woman Development Association

In the Itkhola area of Paranasaratpur, you can find the Moitree Woman Development Association. We are in Burdwan, or Bardhaman as many call it now. This is a place where life moves a bit slower than in the big cities. Most of us here are women from the local area who decided we wanted to do things for ourselves. We didn't start with much, just a small room and a lot of determination. Our address is easy to find if you ask the locals near Itkhola Par. We aren't trying to be some massive organization. We just want the women here to have a better chance at things. Sometimes that means teaching a new skill, or sometimes it is just providing a place where people can talk about their problems. We don't have fancy office furniture or computers. We mostly sit together and figure things out. It is a very hands-on way of working. The building gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have a few fans going. We have been part of this community for a long time, so people trust us. We don't put out advertisements or try to look bigger than we are. We are just a group of neighbors trying to make our town a bit better for the women and families living here. It is hard work, but we like it.
