Mahaprabhupara Tantubay Samabay Samity Ltd.

Our group, Mahaprabhupara Tantubay Samabay Samity Ltd., is located in the Vidyanagar area. We’ve been working out of this spot for years, mostly focusing on weaving and local textile work. It’s a cooperative, which means we all work together to make things happen. The office is near the post office in Vidyanagar, so it’s easy for everyone to find. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything. Most of what we do is practical and hands-on. You’ll usually hear the sound of work going on when you walk by. We aren't corporate people. We’re just weavers and workers who wanted to have a collective way to sell our goods and manage our resources. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized, but we always figure it out in the end. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, handed down through families. We don't use much technology, just our hands and some old machines. We take pride in what we make, but we don't feel the need to brag about it. We just show up every day and do the work that needs to be done. It’s a quiet life here in Vidyanagar, and we like it that way. If you’re looking for us, just ask around the post office and someone will point you to our door. We’re always there, busy with the looms and the threads.
