Gujarat Anjan Cement Ltd. (A Unit Of Jaypee Group)

We are based out of Durgapur in West Bengal, specifically at 1J/13 Kanishka Road in the A-Zone. This unit belongs to Gujarat Anjan Cement Ltd., which is a part of the Jaypee Group. Durgapur is known for its industrial roots, and being in the A-Zone puts us right in the middle of all that history. Our office is a straightforward space where we manage the local operations for the cement business. It’s not a polished corporate environment. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the furniture is mostly utilitarian. We deal with a lot of paperwork, tracking shipments of cement and making sure everything is documented correctly for the Burdwan district. The humidity here can be quite something, especially during the long monsoon months when the rain just doesn't seem to stop. We have a small team of people who have been working together for a long time, so we all know the routine pretty well. There’s a lot of coming and going with drivers and supervisors throughout the day. We don't have any big slogans or missions pinned to the wall. We just focus on getting the daily tasks finished so we can head home. The local area has everything we need, from small eateries to the post office just a short walk away. It is just a regular, hard-working office in an industrial town. Sometimes the phones act up, but we just keep going.
