Birla Cement Ltd.

We are set up over at City Center in Durgapur, right across from the Hotel Peerless Inn. It’s a busy spot near the P.S. Durgapur area. Even though the name Birla Cement Ltd is on the sign, we are just the local folks running this office and handling the distribution around here. It gets pretty chaotic with the traffic and people coming in to ask about prices or delivery times. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing things down in ledgers. The office isn't anything special to look at, just desks and chairs and stacks of paperwork. We see a lot of contractors and builders who are working on projects nearby. Durgapur is always growing, so there is always a need for more supplies. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, it’s hard. Sometimes the trucks are late or the weather shuts everything down. We just take it as it comes. Being right across from the hotel makes us easy to find, which is good for people who aren't from this part of town. We don't have a big marketing team here; we just answer the door and help whoever walks in. It’s practical work and it keeps us on our toes throughout the week. We try to be helpful and get people the materials they need for their builds.
