Calcutta Industrial Supply Corporation

We've been running Calcutta Industrial Supply Corporation from Jamudaha for a while now. It’s a quiet village near Chakshanjadi in Burdwan. Mostly we just handle orders and make sure things get where they need to go. Working out here in the district is different from being in the middle of a big city. We get to know the people around us. Sometimes the roads aren't the best, especially during the rains, but we manage. Most days involve checking stock and talking to suppliers. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls. My cousin helps out with the ledger sometimes. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Just a solid place to keep our supplies and do our jobs. People know where to find us in Jamudaha. We started out small and stayed that way, which works for us. Burdwan is a good place to be based, even if it’s a bit out of the way for some. We deal with all sorts of industrial items, whatever folks in the area or further out need for their projects. It’s steady work. We try to keep things organized but sometimes it gets a bit messy when a big shipment comes in. That’s just how it goes here. We don’t really do much advertising. People usually hear about us through word of mouth. It's a simple operation, really. Just us, the warehouse, and the daily tasks that keep the place running.
