Mhi Public School is tucked away in Asandra, specifically on the Haidergarh Bhitriya Mg road. We are in the Barabanki district, which is a busy part of Uttar Pradesh. The school isn't some massive complex; it is a place where the local kids from around the 225416 area come to spend their day. You can hear the noise of the children from the main road before you even see the gate. It is a bit loud during the morning assembly, but that is how schools are. The walls have some charts pinned up, and the desks are a bit worn from years of use. We don't have fancy air conditioning or anything, just the usual ceiling fans that hum all day. Working here means you get to know the families in the neighborhood pretty well. We see the same parents every morning at the gate. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, making it a bit of a trek for some of the students. Inside, we just focus on the lessons and keeping things organized. It is a simple life in Asandra. We aren't trying to change the world overnight, just making sure the kids have a place to sit and learn their basic subjects. The staff room is small and usually smells like lunch boxes. We are just a local school doing what we can with what we have here. It’s a lot of work but we just get on with it.
