International Model Public School

We’ve been running International Model Public School on Ramnagar Badosarey Road in Barabanki for a good number of years now. It’s a plain building, nothing too flashy, but it does the job for the kids in this part of town. Most mornings start with the sound of the school gate opening and parents dropping off their children on motorbikes or walking them to the door. We have a small staff room where we sit and drink tea before the first bell rings at eight. The classrooms have wooden desks that have seen a lot of use, and we try to keep the blackboards clean, though the chalk dust gets everywhere. It’s usually quite loud during recess when everyone runs out to the small open space we have. Barabanki can get really dusty, so we are always sweeping the hallways. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us teachers and the principal trying to get through the syllabus. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to let the breeze in. We know most of the parents by name because they’ve lived in this 225001 area their whole lives. In the rainy season, the road outside gets quite muddy and we have to put down mats so the kids don't slip. It’s just a regular local school where we deal with lost pencils and the daily grind of lessons. We just keep things moving along as well as we can every single day.
