We started Sarwa Kisan Agro Producer Company Limited because people around here needed a better way to handle their farming stuff. Our main spot is right there at Hakru Maida’s place in Village Nalwai. If you know the area near Post Chhoti Sarwa in Kushalgarh, you’ve probably walked past us. It isn’t a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we sit down and talk about crops and what the season is looking like for the local farmers. Most of us grew up in Banswara, so we understand the weather and how hard the soil can be sometimes. We just try to get things organized for the folks in Nalwai so they don’t have to struggle alone with the big buyers. There are a few of us who handle the paperwork and the distribution. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside and talk. It’s a group effort, really. We don’t have some big corporate plan, just a simple goal to help the neighbors. You can find us easily if you ask for Hakru Maida’s house. People know us in this part of Rajasthan. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out in the fields making sure everything is moving along. It is a bit dusty and the work is long, but it’s what we do. We hope that by working together as a producer company, everyone gets a slightly better deal at the end of the year.
