We are located out in Village-Ambdanga, right near the MTPS area under DVC in Bankura. It’s a quiet spot compared to the town, mostly surrounded by fields and the industrial hum of the power station nearby. Being Lafarge Cement Pvt. Ltd. in a place like this means we are very close to the people who actually use what we provide. Our office isn't much to look at, just a basic building that stays cool enough in the summer if we keep the windows open. The post office is close by, which is handy for the mail. Life here moves at a different speed. We see the same faces every day, and we know the shortcuts through the village roads when the main ones get blocked. The dust is a constant companion, but that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with cement and big machinery. We spend a lot of time outside, checking the gate and making sure the loaders are doing their job right. It gets very quiet at night after the shift ends, and you can hear the crickets. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local workplace that gets the job done for the district. It’s a lot of hard work and very little talk, which is how we like it. The village of Ambdanga is home for us now, and we just keep the business running as best as we can.
