Khan Traders

Khan Traders is located right in Bishnupur. It’s a busy little area and we’ve been part of it for a good while. We don't have a huge staff, just a few local guys who know the trade. The shop stays open pretty late most days because that’s when people are out and about. We deal with all sorts of items, mostly whatever the locals are looking for. Bishnupur is a nice place to live and work. The community is tight and news travels fast by word of mouth. We don't spend money on flyers or posters. If you do a decent job, people tell their cousins and friends. That’s how we’ve kept going all these years. The shop floor is always a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. We get deliveries every couple of days, and that's usually the busiest time for us. We just focus on the day-to-day stuff and don't worry about much else. My brother helps with the heavy lifting and I handle the customers. It’s a simple arrangement that works for us. Sometimes we close early if there’s a festival or a wedding in the village. It’s not a corporate lifestyle, but it pays the bills. We’ve seen the kids in the neighborhood grow up and start their own families. Being part of Bishnupur is important to us. We’re just regular people running a regular business here.
