Our office for Gnfc Ltd is inside the Gopal Nandi Mill Compound in Keranibandh, Lalbazar. It’s an old industrial area, so the buildings have that worn-in, solid feel to them. The compound itself is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We have our space set up among the other units there. It’s a very practical environment. There’s usually the sound of machinery or trucks moving somewhere nearby in the compound. We don't spend much time worrying about the paint on the walls or having a modern look. It’s about the work. Most of us have been coming to this Lalbazar location for years, so it feels like a second home. The walk from the main gate of the mill compound to our door is something we could do with our eyes closed. We handle a lot of the logistical side of things here. It can get dusty, and the summers are tough, but we just get on with it. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a group of people who know their jobs well. Keranibandh is a busy part of the area, and being in the mill compound puts us right where we need to be. There’s a comfort in the routine of the mill compound. We know the guards and the workers next door. It’s a no-nonsense life where we focus on the tasks at hand and don't get distracted by flashy things.
