This branch is out in Bankura at the Hazra Complex near 4 No Kethardanga. Amit Samanta is usually the one you will see handling things around the place. It is a different vibe than the Kolkata offices because things move a little slower in this part of West Bengal. We still have plenty of steel to move though. The complex is a busy spot and there are always people coming and going. We keep our records in simple notebooks and try to stay on top of the stock we have left. The heat in Bankura can be something else during May and June. We take a long break in the middle of the day when it gets too much to handle. Most of our customers are locals who are building their own homes or small shops. We know a lot of them by their names. It is a friendly place to work. We don't use any fancy management software or anything like that. We just talk to people and get the steel delivered where it needs to go. Sometimes the trucks are late because the roads can be tricky around here. We just wait it out and keep working until the job is done. There is always a lot of dust from the steel and the road outside. We don't mind it. It is just part of the job. We are glad to be here in Bankura.
