D. J. N. Mehta High School

D. J. N. Mehta High School is located in Juna Deesa, and we’ve been here for quite some time. The building is an older style, the kind with thick walls that stay a bit cooler when the weather outside gets really hot. We have a big gate at the entrance and a yard where the students gather before the first bell. It’s not a fancy setup with modern gadgets; it’s mostly just chalkboards, wooden benches, and a lot of books. The floors are made of stone and they’ve been worn smooth over the years by all the feet walking over them. We start our day pretty early, getting the rooms ready and checking the registers. Juna Deesa is a place where everyone knows each other, so we see a lot of familiar faces when parents come by to ask about something or pay the fees. The office is just a small room with a heavy wooden desk and some old metal filing cabinets that squeak when you open them. During the breaks, the noise is incredible, with kids playing in the dirt and shouting to their friends. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just a few old maps on the walls and maybe a calendar. It’s a simple school where we focus on the basics and keep things moving forward. It’s a quiet life until the kids arrive, then it’s all go until the afternoon when the sun starts to set.
