Our company is located in the village of Mahakhorkanjwa, specifically over at Manafer Jayaswal’s place. It’s part of the Majhauli Tehsil. We started Homelike Poshnam because we wanted to do things differently for the farmers in this part of the country. We aren't a big corporation with fancy offices. Our space is right in the middle of the village where everyone can reach us easily. We focus on what’s actually happening in the fields every day. Most of our members are just neighbors who have known each other for years. We spend our time trying to figure out the best way to get our produce to market without losing too much money. It’s a practical business. We deal with seeds, fertilizers, and the paperwork that comes with running a producer company. Sometimes it feels like we spend more time on forms than on the land, but we know it helps in the long run. We’re usually there sorting through bags of grain or talking about the upcoming season. It’s a bit dusty and the chairs aren't the most comfortable, but the work we do is important to us.
