Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd. (Organic Manure Division)

We are the organic manure division of Balrampur Chini Mills, located right in Balrampur. Everything is centered around the mill area and the post office here. It’s a very rural, agriculture-focused spot, which makes sense for what we do. We take the leftovers from the sugar process and turn them into manure. It’s messy work sometimes, and the smell is something you have to get used to, but it’s good for the land. Most of us here have grown up around the mills. We don’t have a big corporate office; we just have a few rooms near the main plant where we keep the records. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or near the processing units. Balrampur is a small place where everyone knows what’s going on at the mill. It’s the heart of the town. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. It’s just about taking what’s left over and making it useful again. The days are long, especially during the crushing season when the whole town is busy. We just keep our heads down and focus on the manure production. It’s a practical, honest part of the sugar business. There’s no polish here, just hard work and a lot of focus on the soil and the crops.
