Balodsampada Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based out of Village Harrathema in the Karhibhadar area. Our office is at House Number 10, which belongs to Ramdeo. It is a group of us farmers who decided to team up a while back. We have all been working these fields for a long time, and it felt right to start something local. We do the daily work of planting and harvesting, then we use the company to handle the selling part. It is simpler that way for everyone. Life in Harrathema is quiet but the work is hard. We meet up at Ramdeo’s house to talk about what we need for the next season. There is always something to fix or some paperwork to finish. We do not have a big staff, just the farmers themselves doing the tasks. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We worry about the rain and the market prices just like everyone else. We started this to help each other out and stay independent. It is not a polished business, just a few neighbors working together to make sure the farm stays afloat and the crops get where they need to go. We keep the books in the front room and there is usually some tea if you come by to talk about the harvest. We just take it one day at a time and hope for good weather. It is how we have always lived around here and we keep it that way.
