Sandur Residential Composite Junior College

We are located out in Sandur, which is part of the Bellary district. Sandur Residential Composite Junior College is a place where students actually live while they are studying. This means our days are very long and start quite early in the morning. Being a residential college, the atmosphere is more like a large family than a regular school. We have the dormitories, the dining hall, and the classrooms all in the same general area. The landscape around Sandur is quite distinct with its hills and reddish soil. We spend a lot of time making sure the students are following their schedules, not just for classes but for their meals and study hours too. It’s a lot of responsibility to have kids staying on the grounds. We handle everything from the laundry to the kitchen supplies. The buildings are functional and have been around for a while. We don’t have any high-end luxury features, just the basics like beds, desks, and enough light to read by. Teachers often stay on campus too, so we are always around if someone needs help with a lesson or has a problem in the dorms. It’s a quiet life out here compared to the big cities, but it stays busy with the constant needs of the students. We just focus on keeping the routine going and making sure everyone is fed and learning what they are supposed to learn.
