We are S. S. New Graphic and our place is on Plot 108 in Krishna Vihar. To get to us, you have to go down New Railway Road and find Gali Number 4 in the Nawlu Colony area. It’s a bit tucked away, so people sometimes have to look twice to find the right gate. The shop is usually filled with the sharp smell of ink and the constant sound of printers running. We have stacks of paper and cardboard waiting for different jobs. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit crowded when we have a big order to finish. We spend most of our time looking at computer screens or checking the print quality on the sheets. It’s not a quiet job, but we like the steady pace of it. Most of our neighbors are locals who have lived in this colony for a very long time. It feels more like a small community than a cold business district. Sometimes we have to deal with sudden power cuts, which can be annoying when we’re on a tight deadline. We just wait for the lights to come back on and then pick up exactly where we left off. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy neon sign out front. Most people find us because a friend or a neighbor told them about our shop. We just try to do a solid job on every single print we do. It’s a simple way of running things.
