You can find us in Birmaharajpur village. We are right near the car gallery. It’s a local spot where everyone knows each other. We sell steel for building houses and sheds. People around here are always building something new or fixing a fence. We have the big trucks coming in from the district headquarters in Subarnapur once or twice a week. It gets a bit crowded when they unload the steel on the side of the road. The post office is close by too, so it’s a central part of the village. I’ve lived here all my life and I know most people by name. Running a steel business is mostly about lifting heavy things and making sure the numbers match up. We don't have any flashy signs or posters. Just the name on the wall in plain letters. The yard is full of iron rods and sheets of metal. When it rains, it gets a bit muddy out there, but we manage to get things moved. We use a small shed for the paperwork and some tools. My brother helps me keep track of the orders and who owes what. We drink a lot of chai with the truck drivers while they wait for their paperwork. They tell us stories from the road which is nice. It’s a slow pace of life but the work is steady. We don’t overthink things here. If a customer needs steel for a roof, we get it for them. If they want to talk about the village news, we do that too. It’s just us.
