Dr Apj Abdul Kalam Medium School

Our school, Dr Apj Abdul Kalam Medium School, sits right in the middle of Basa. We are part of the Dr. Apj Abdul Kalam Colony here in Jamkhandi, Bagalkot. It is a lively neighborhood. Being in the 587301 area, we see a lot of local families every day. The school isn't very big, but it is big enough for the children who come from the nearby houses. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure everyone has their notebooks ready. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider to let the breeze in. It is pretty normal for a school in this part of Bagalkot. We have a small playground where the kids play during the break. You can hear them laughing from down the street. The staff here are mostly local people who have lived in Jamkhandi for years. We do not use any complicated systems, just the usual teaching and learning. The walls have some posters on them, and the hallways are usually full of bags and water bottles. We like that it feels like a home for the kids while they are here. It is just a regular school doing regular work. If you come by the colony, you will see the sign and the gate. We are usually here from early morning until the late afternoon when the last bus leaves the area. It gets a bit noisy, but that's how schools are.
