Basaveshwar International Public School

Basaveshwar International Public School is located over in Viddyagiri, which is a quieter part of Bagalkot. The school building is pretty easy to find if you are heading that way. We have a lot of kids coming in from all over the 587101 area every morning. The playground gets quite dusty in the summer, but the kids don't seem to care when they are playing football or just running around. Our classrooms are basic, with desks that have been through a lot. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many children around, there is always a bit of a mess somewhere. The teachers here are just regular people from the town who want to help the kids learn their lessons. We have a routine that starts with the morning assembly and ends when the buses line up at the gate in the afternoon. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to open the windows wider to let the light in. It’s not a perfect place, but it’s where a lot of local children spend their day. The library is small but has some decent books if you look through the shelves. We don't have any big corporate backing, just the staff and the parents working together. The trees in the yard provide a bit of shade during the hot afternoons, which is nice for the staff meetings. It’s just a normal school life here in Bagalkot, with the usual noise and daily busywork.
