Somya Classes

Somya Classes is our small teaching spot in Sadar Bazar, right by the Military Cantt in Faizabad. We have been here for some time now, operating out of a few rooms in the 224001 zip code area. It’s a practical location for the kids who live around the Cantt. Our setup is very basic. We have rows of desks and some fans that we keep running during the afternoon heat. We aren't trying to be a fancy academy. We just provide a space where students can come and get their questions answered. Often, it’s just one of us sitting with a handful of students, going over math or science problems. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a polished website. Usually, a parent just stops by to ask if we have space for their child. We say yes if we have a seat. It’s a very local way of doing things. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the families that live on our street. The classes can get a bit loud when everyone is talking at once, but we try to keep things focused. It’s just a daily routine of teaching and learning. We open the shutters in the morning and close them once the sun goes down. It’s a simple life, and we are just glad to be working here. Every day feels like we are doing something useful for the neighborhood families.
