Satish Brick Manufacturing

Out in Village-Shirshala, you’ll find Satish Brick Manufacturing. We’re located in the Taluka district, and it’s a fairly rural setup we’ve got going here. My father started this a long time ago, and I’ve been helping out since I was a kid. Now I’m the one making sure everything runs okay. We use the local clay and fire the bricks right here on the property. It’s a slow process, but it’s how it’s always been done in Shirshala. We don't have a lot of high-tech machinery; it’s mostly just us and a few hired hands doing the heavy lifting. The village is small, so everyone knows where the brickyard is. We don't really have to explain much to anyone. When someone is building a new wall or a small house, they just come by and we talk about how many they need. Sometimes we have to wait for the right season to get the best results, as the rain can really mess up the drying process. We just sit under the shade of the trees when it gets too hot and wait for the kiln to finish its work. It’s a peaceful way to make a living, even if it is a bit dusty and tiring. We’re just a small part of the village, and we’re happy to keep providing bricks to our neighbors for their cattle sheds and homes. It’s honest work that keeps us grounded.
