Ranjan Paint Store. We are in Dewaria Kala, near Pesar Thana. If you’re looking for us, we are right by the Shiv Mandir. It’s a good landmark because people visit the temple every day. The shop is full of cans of all sizes. I’ve got stacks of color cards on the counter, though most people already know what they want. There’s always that distinct smell of fresh paint in the air here. It never really goes away. I spend my time mixing shades and helping people pick out the right brushes for their walls. Sometimes the floor is covered in little splatters of color where a lid wasn’t on tight. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s a working shop. We get people coming in from all over the Pesar Thana area. Some are painting their whole house for a wedding, and others just need a small tin to fix a patch. I usually have a tea around four o'clock and chat with whoever is around. The bells from the Shiv Mandir ring in the mornings and evenings. It’s a nice place to work. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just sell paint and try to give people the right stuff for their homes. If you walk past the temple in Dewaria Kala, you’ll see us. We’ve been here long enough that most folks just know my name. It is a straightforward way to earn a living.
