Mathematics is one of those things that people either love or hate, and here in Cidco N 8, we deal with it every single day. Mauli Institute Of Mathematics is located right near the Onkar Gas Agency in Aurangabad. If you know that area, you know it can get pretty busy with the delivery trucks coming in and out. Our space is just a regular classroom setup. We spend most of our time at the whiteboard with markers that always seem to run out at the wrong time. It isn't a corporate setup. It is just us and the students sitting across from each other. We have some wooden benches that have been here since we first opened the doors. The sun hits the front window in the mornings, so we keep the curtains drawn until noon to keep the glare off the board. Most of the students come from the local schools in the Maharashtra area. We don't do much marketing; people just find us through word of mouth or by seeing the small board near the gas agency. We try to keep the noise down because the neighbors are close by. It is a very straightforward business. We show up, the students arrive, we solve problems, and then everyone goes home. Sometimes we stay late to finish a chapter or help someone who is really stuck on a geometry problem. We also keep a small stash of biscuits for when the long sessions make everyone hungry.
