Indo German Tool Room

The Indo German Tool Room is located at P-31 in the Midc Chikathana Industrial Area. It’s a large building, and there is always something going on inside. We have a lot of different sections for different kinds of tools and work. Even though the name sounds a bit formal, the vibe here is pretty down-to-earth. We have instructors and workers who have been doing this for decades. The workshops are filled with the sound of grinding and drilling from early morning until late afternoon. There is a lot of metal dust around, so we all wear our gear and try to keep things tidy, though it’s a constant battle. The Chikathana area is always bustling with activity, and we are right in the thick of it. We have a canteen area where everyone gathers for lunch, and that’s usually where the real talk happens. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture in the offices. It’s mostly metal desks and sturdy chairs that can handle a bit of rough use. We get a lot of people coming through for training or to see how we make things. It’s a busy place, and there isn't much time for standing around. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything leaving P-31 is up to the standard we expect of ourselves. It’s hard work, but we like it. Most of the guys have been here long enough that it feels like a second home.
