Precicut Engineers

Precicut Engineers is based over at Plot No. F-21/1 in the MIDC area of Chikalthana. It’s a typical industrial setting here, with a lot of other workshops and factories nearby. Our day usually starts pretty early to beat some of the heat and get the machines warmed up. We focus a lot on cutting and engineering parts to specific sizes. It takes a lot of concentration because if you mess up a cut, the whole piece of metal is basically scrap. We have a group of guys who are really good with their hands and understand the machinery we use. The workshop isn't the cleanest place—you’re going to find metal shavings and oil around—but that’s just the nature of engineering. We do a lot of work for other businesses in the Aurangabad area. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine needs a repair that takes all day, which can throw our schedule off. We just deal with those things as they come. We aren't really into big marketing or anything; most people find us because we’ve been in Chikalthana for a while and they know where the plot is. It’s a practical, hardworking environment. We take pride in just getting the specs right and finishing the jobs we started. It’s what keeps us going. The days can be long, but there is always a sense of accomplishment when a complex part is finally finished.
