Deogiri College

Deogiri College is right here in Aurangabad. It is a pretty large place and a lot of students pass through our gates every single day. If you live in this part of Maharashtra, you probably know someone who went here at some point. The campus has several buildings and they have been standing for a long time. It isn't a brand new modern facility, but it has a lot of history behind it. You can see students sitting on the stone benches or walking between classes all day long. We have a lot of different departments, so there is always something going on somewhere on the grounds. The canteen is usually the loudest part of the college where everyone gathers. We don't really do much in the way of fancy brochures or glossy photos to attract people. It’s just a place for people to come and get their degrees. Some of the older professors have been here since before many of the current students were even born. They know the halls like the back of their hands and keep things moving. The trees on the campus are quite old and give good shade when it gets really hot in the afternoon. We have a library that stays pretty quiet, which is a nice break from the noise of the city outside. It is a busy, functional college that serves the local community. We just keep moving along with the academic cycles year after year.
