Rekha Ladies Beauty Parlour & Shringar Ghar

If you are walking through Shanichar Bazar in Nabinagar, you will find us in Masjid Gali. We have been here in Aurangabad-Bihar for a long time. Our place is called Rekha Ladies Beauty Parlour & Shringar Ghar. It is a bit tucked away in the alley, but people know where we are. We do a bit of everything for the ladies who live around here. Since we are also a Shringar Ghar, we keep some bangles and small things that women need for their daily wear or for festivals. The bazaar is always noisy and crowded, especially on market days. Our shop is small, and sometimes it gets quite cramped when three or four people are waiting. We don't have an air conditioner, just a couple of ceiling fans that keep the air moving while we work on someone's hair or thread eyebrows. It is mostly local women from the neighborhood who come in. We talk about the weather or what is happening in the market while we work. It’s a very simple setup. We use the same products that most households use. We don't pretend to be a high-end salon from a big city like Patna. We just provide a place where women can come to get ready for a wedding or just a regular day. It is hard work being on your feet all day, but seeing the customers satisfied makes it okay.
