Kurtha Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group is the Kurtha Farmers Producer Company Limited and we are based right here in Simuara village. It is a part of the Mednipur post area in the Kurtha block, which is in Arwal. We are just local people who have been farming in this district for a long time. The idea for this company came up when a few of us were sitting around talking about how expensive things were getting. We figured if we pooled our resources, we could buy what we need for the farms at better rates and maybe find better places to sell what we grow. It is a practical way to survive as farmers in a small village. We don't have any professional writers to do our paperwork, so we just do it ourselves as best as we can. Our days start early before the sun is even fully up. We go out to the fields, check the soil, and see what needs doing. Arwal can be a tough place to farm sometimes because of the heat, but we are used to it. The company is our way of staying organized. We meet up in Simuara to discuss who needs help with their harvest or if there is a new way to keep the pests away. It is not a glamorous life, but it is honest. We are just trying to keep our traditions going while making sure we don't fall behind the rest of the world and can support our homes.
