Located in the Arwal district, specifically in the Khatangitola-Chandokhar area within the Panch-Khatangi Panchayat, we are in a rural part of the world where farming is pretty much the only thing everyone does. Bansiarwal Farmers Producer Company is basically a group of us from the village who decided it was better to work together than alone. We deal with all sorts of crops, whatever the season allows for. Life here is mostly about the land and the weather. When the rain doesn't come, we all worry together, and when the harvest is good, there’s a bit of relief for everyone. We don't have any corporate polish or fancy goals. We just want to get through the year without too much trouble. Our meetings are usually just a bunch of us sitting around talking about the cost of fertilizer or how to get the crops to the market without spending too much on transport. It’s a tough way to make a living, but it’s what we’ve always done. You won't find any marketing experts here, just people with muddy boots and calloused hands. We know our way around the fields of Arwal, and we just try to keep the business going for the sake of our families in the village. It is just plain and simple farming work for us.
