Priyadarshini Park

Our place is located on Wallajah Road, right in the heart of the Mount Road area. The address is a bit confusing because of the old and new numbers like 123 and 139, but we’ve been here a long time so most locals know where we are. It’s an old building, and you can see that in the walls and the layout. We haven’t changed much over the decades. The traffic outside is always heavy, typical for this part of Chennai. Inside, it's a bit of a different world, though not exactly quiet. We have people coming in all day, from office workers to people just passing through the city. We don't do much in the way of decoration. The furniture is solid and has seen a lot of use. We focus on getting the daily routine right. Cleaning the floors, making sure the kitchen is ready, and serving the regulars. It’s a lot of stairs and hallways since it covers several plot numbers. Sometimes things break and we fix them as we go. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it. We don't try to be like the new malls or hotels nearby. We are just Priyadarshini Park, an old spot on a busy corner that keeps doing its thing. It's practical and it works for the people who come here. We don't have fancy lights or a big website, just the same old door we've opened every morning for years.
