Varun Engineering

At Varun Engineering, we are based at 276/A in the GIDC Estate. Our shed is right across from the ICPA Health building, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us. This is a proper industrial area, so there are always trucks moving and the sound of metal hitting metal nearby. Our workshop is filled with heavy machinery and the smell of oil and grease is pretty much everywhere. It is a practical space designed for hard work, not for sitting around. We have a small office partitioned off in one corner where we keep the blueprints and the ledgers, but we spend most of our time out on the floor. The roof is high and made of corrugated sheets, so it gets quite loud when it rains. We have a few long-term employees who know these machines inside out. We don't have any fancy mission statements or marketing brochures. People come to us because they know we have the right tools for the engineering jobs they need done. It’s a gritty environment and we all go home with dirty hands at the end of the day. We keep the machines maintained as best as we can. It is just a steady, daily grind of fixing and making parts for other businesses in the estate. We take pride in just getting the work finished on time without any unnecessary fuss.
