Jalaram Nasta House

Jalaram Nasta House is located in Baruch, very close to the Ankleshwar Railway Station. If you’ve ever been to this station, you know how busy it gets with people coming in from all over. We mostly serve nasta, which is quick food for people who don't have time for a full meal. Our shop is small and we do all the cooking right where people can see it. It gets pretty hot near the stove, especially in the summer. We start our day very early because the first trains arrive before most people are even awake. The smell of the food usually brings in the travelers who are looking for something warm to eat. We don't have fancy menus or anything. We just have what we made that morning. Sometimes we run out of the popular items by midday, and we just have to tell people we're sorry. It’s a simple business. We don’t do any advertising or anything like that. People just know we're here because we've been in the same spot for a long time. The noise of the trains and the announcements from the station are just part of our day. It’s a lot of hard work, being on your feet and dealing with the heat, but we like the fast pace. It’s interesting to see all the different people traveling through Ankleshwar every single day. We keep the counters wiped down and the food hot, and that’s enough for us to do.
