Our place is at Plot No. 7319. It’s mostly just a big space filled with tiles. We have all sorts of patterns and sizes stacked up in rows. Sometimes it feels like a maze in here when we get a new batch from the factory. The noise from the cutting machines can be a bit much if you aren't used to it. We spend our days moving boxes and checking for cracks. Not every tile is perfect, that's just the nature of it. We see a lot of people who are building their first homes. They come in and touch the surfaces to see if they like the feel. Some want shiny ones, others like the matte finish better. We just show them what we have on the racks. The floor is always covered in a bit of white dust. We try to sweep it but it just comes back. It’s hard work on the back, lifting these heavy boxes all day. We start early, usually before the heat gets too intense. Plot No. 7319 has been our base for quite some time now. We don't have a big showroom with bright lights. It’s just the warehouse and a small desk where we handle the bills. Sometimes we have a chat with the drivers while they wait for their trucks to be filled up. It’s a steady rhythm. We keep an eye on the stock levels so we don't run dry.
