National Card Board Mill

If you come down to Plot No. 1402-B-2, you’ll find us at National Card Board Mill. Working in a mill means there is a lot of noise and the constant smell of paper and pulp. It’s the kind of smell that sticks to you, but we don't mind it much anymore. The machinery we use is old but it gets the job done if you know how to treat it right. We spend a lot of time making sure the cardboard is coming out the way it’s supposed to. It’s a very hands-on process. There aren't many bells and whistles here. Our office is just a small corner of the building with some old desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We don't use much fancy technology because the old ways still work fine for us. The plot is usually stacked high with materials, so it can feel a bit cramped when we get a big delivery. We just keep our heads down and focus on the production. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to understand what needs doing. It’s a bit rough around the edges, and the floor is always covered in scraps, but that’s just the nature of a cardboard mill. We're just here at Plot 1402-B-2 doing our bit every day and making sure the mill keeps running.
