Our place at Plot No. 3803 3804 in the G. I. D. C. Industrial Estate is where everything happens. Shree Vardayini Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd. started out small and we have just stayed focused on the daily work ever since. Being in G. I. D. C. means there is always noise and movement around the gate. Other factories are very close by, so it feels like a tight community. We have two plots joined together which gives us enough room for the equipment and the necessary storage. It is not a quiet job, but we like the steady pace. Most of the staff has been around for years. We know the machines and all their little quirks. If something breaks down, someone usually knows how to patch it up quickly. We are not big on long meetings or complicated emails. If something needs saying, we just walk over and say it to each other. The office is tucked in one corner and it is usually piled with folders and hand-written logbooks. We keep track of everything manually for the most part. It is how we have always done it. The road outside can get very dusty when the wind picks up, but that is just part of being in an industrial zone. We do not try to make the place look like a showroom. It is a working plant. We show up early, do what needs doing, and go home. (251 words)
